Chuga Chuga Choo Choo!

Week 11 has been another great week!

Firstly, Happy Birthday to Ceci! She turned 2 on Wednesday. Thank you so much to Ceci and her family for bringing in cake to share with everyone. It was enjoyed by all!

We finished our ocean collage this week. The paint was all dry and we glued on photos of ocean animals and a submarine.

This week we made Thomas the train. The entire class helped paint the train and then P' Loi and Kru Aum put it all together.

The kids loved climbing in the train and saying "choo choo".

On Friday, two more vehicles came to our class. P' Loi made an awesome firetruck and ice cream truck for the students.

We used our fine motor skills to build a train track together.

We also made orange Kazoos so that we could make loud train noises!

We made our very own trains out of cotton balls, egg cartons, and toilet paper rolls!

We have been learning about different colors this term. This week we made animal trains.

I had each student do the first step independently. They sat down with me and matched the animals to the correct colors. I gave them a couple of examples and then let them do it all by themselves. They all did so well!

The next day we put the trains together!

Now they are proudly hanging on the classroom wall!

We took a mini-adventure to the basketball courts. We practiced bouncing, rolling, and shooting the basketball.

After we finished at the basketball courts, we walked over to the parking lot where we saw an ambulance and firetruck.

The PN class did an obstacle course with Mr. Francis in PE on Wednesday!

Uno is able to balance on his bottom when he picks up his arms and legs.

Ceci getting ready to jump!
We have been having a wonderful time reading books in the Library. One of our favorites is The Monkey Bridge. The students help me find different animals in the pictures and we practice counting all the monkeys.

Star of the Week

This week the Star of the Week goes to Ceci! She has done wonderful this term. She has become so independent and loves to do everything all by herself. Anytime a teacher tries to help her with something she says, "No, Ceci do". She always says "please" and "thank you" and calls her friends and teachers by their name. The other day she even left her mom and dad at the main doors and walked to class all by herself. Ceci is a such bright and energetic young girl. We will miss having you in PN next term. Best of luck at your new school.
