Final Week of Term 2!

I cannot believe that Term 2 is over already! The kids have progressed so much over the past 3 months. I am excited to see even more growth in Term 3.

Daimyo's Birthday is over the holiday so we had a pre-birthday for him at school today! Happy Birthday Daimyo. Thank you to you and your family for bringing in a yummy cake to share with everyone!

This week we made a shirt and canvas to give to our sweet friend Ceci as she will not be joining us next term. Thank you Ceci for being such a great classmate and student. All your friends and teachers will miss you at Ascot. Best of luck to you and your family.

Circle Time 

We have been trying to get the students into more of a circle time routine the past month and this week it has really come together. The students are sitting down, engaged, and enjoying it. During circle time we practice our knowledge about colors, counting, transportation, and weather.

Red, Yellow, Green! 

We began playing a stoplight game to combine colors, motions, and transportation. Red means stop, yellow means slow (walking), and green means fast (running). I hold up the color and the kids have to do the motion to go along with it. They really enjoyed this game and were laughing the entire time. 

Car Wash 

We also had a car wash. We had buckets of water, sponges, and soap. We scrubbed all the cars clean. It was a great activity for the students motor skills. The students carried the bucket, poured the water, scrubbed the cars, and squeezed the sponges.

Songkran Celebration

On Thursday, we had a wonderful time celebrating Songkran at Ascot. The kids all did so well at watching the performances in the SY gym! They are doing so much better in new environments.
