First Week of Term 3!

I hope that you all enjoyed the holiday and wishing everyone a Happy Thai New Year!

It has been a great first week. All of the students were very excited to see their friends again and they have been enthusiastic and engaged in all of the activities. This term we will be focusing on learning about different plants and animals.

Firstly, A new friend has joined the PN class this week. Her name is Sun Sun. She has adjusted very well to being at school and plays nicely with all of the other students. Welcome to the PN class Sun Sun. We are very happy to have you in the PN class.

We started the week by making binoculars to help us find animals on our mini-adventures.
Practicing painting up and down, making long painting strokes.

We used the binoculars to find different animals on the playground. We saw so many animals both big and small.

Army found a big and small crocodile in the house.

Paras looking around with her binoculars to see what animals she can find.

Daimyo found a big and small elephant next to the tree.

Por-Dee found a mama tiger with her baby.

There were 3 frogs at the water station!
Army and Daiymo found 2 small frogs.

Paras found a big green frog!

Uno went and grabbed the crocodile and took him for a swim too.

We went on a walk around the school to collect leaves. We used the leaves to make a home for the animals in our room. The kids loved feeding the leaves to the animals.

We found lots of little ants on our mini adventure to collect leaves.

Army feeding the tiger some yellow leaves.

We also used our arm, hands, and fingers to make giraffes. You can see the giraffes on the door of the classroom.

The students love the Walking in the Jungle song. It is a great song to teach them different actions and animals. We saw a Tucan in the video and we made our very own Tucan to hang in the classroom.

P' Loi and Kru Aum made a beautiful tree for the PN classroom. In the tree we have found grasshoppers, monkeys, and mangoes! More and more animals keep appearing each day.

We shook the tree and down fell a yellow and a green mango. The students all ran to the tree and were so excited to see the mangoes. They touched the mangoes, smelled them, and even tasted the mango. They kept saying "yum, yum"! Many of them asked for more. They loved how sweet the yellow mango tasted.

We went swimming on Thursday. We practiced are kicking and found animals at the bottom of the pool.

Star of the Week

The Star of the Week is Army! They have all done great during the first week back, but Army has really stood out. He has improved so much with saying goodbye to mommy in the morning, he always tidies up his toys, and he is very caring towards his friends. Great job this week Army!
