Week 2 Swimming and Star of the Week

First Swimming Class

All of the kids really enjoyed swimming class. They were splashing around, laughing, shouting the names of the toy animals, and playing together. It was wonderful to see them so relaxed and happy. Here are some pictures of their first swimming class.

They loved playing with the animals. Army would get so excited and start
shouting the different animal names. 

Por-Dee really enjoyed filling up his container with water and pouring it out. 

Farm Animal Art: Paper Plate Piggies

We also finished making our pigs! They are adorable. The kids made them by themselves. Some of them needed a little assistance with the glue, but other than that they made them all on their own. Earlier this week the students painted paper plates pink and Thursday morning we gave our pig faces. I cut out ears and a nose for the students and gave them a googly eyes. The students then glued them on and placed them where they felt necessary. We will be hanging them up in the classroom.

Star of the Week 

A star of the week is a student that participates in activities, shows improvements from the past week, follows classroom rules, and sets a good example for their friends. All of the kids are adjusting to being at school wonderfully. But one student has really stood out this week and that is..

Ceci!!

Congrats to Ceci. She has been a great example to all her friends this week. Ceci is always excited to participate in activities, follows directions, is a great helper, and is always kind to her friends.
