Week 6 Recap

Happy Chinese New Years! We had another fun week in pre-nursery. It has been great having all of the students in class. They are now all comfortable with the teachers, classroom and each other. They have been showing much more enthusiasm, confidence, and curiosity.

The Star of the Week is Daimyo

Daiymo has been expressing so much curiosity in class. He has been playing with new toys and using lots of new words. He is always repeating the words and phrases that he hears. When he hears the bell in the morning he says "ring, ring, ring". He has remembered Mr. Marks name and says, "Goodbye Mark". Daimyo also recognizes when something is wrong and says, "Oh dear!"

Good job Daiymo. Thank you for being so curious and playing nicely with your friends all week long!

On Monday we used different heart shape objects to paint sparkly pink hearts for mommy's Valentine's Day card.

We glued on all the hearts and the picture with mom on Wednesday. We also added some stickers! The kids loved looking at the photos of their mommy and carrying them around the classroom.

We also explored the library this week. We let the students walk around and find books that interested them. Some of the books we read and others we looked at the pictures to see what we could find.

We continued to explore through water play. Water play is a great way to get the kids to all play together and explore how different toys work.

Ceci, Paras, and Army had fun going
"fishing, fishing, fishing"

Por-dee enjoyed watching the ambulance sink and
playing with the boats.

Uno enjoyed catching the ducks with the bucket on the tractor.

Daiymo enjoyed filling the dump truck up with water and
pouring it back into the green bucket or into one of the boats.

Enjoy your holiday! Looking forward to seeing everyone again on the 26th. During week 7 we will start learning about different types of transportation.
